While some are getting excited about March Madness, another competition is heating up! Each year, RecycleMania challenges colleges and universities to promote and improve their recycling and waste reduction programs. In partnership with the National Wildlife Federation, RecycleMania requires participating schools to report back on the amount of trash and recyclables collected each week. While there is no competition for individual households and no trophy to be hoisted at the end of an 8-week period, we challenge each individual to create and improve your recycling and trash habits. Be sure to set up recycling bins in your home, dispose of hazardous waste properly, and do your part to keep our home trash free!
